- Transcript Please hold to receive a general message from the Westchester County Notification System. This is a rabies alert from the Westchester County Department of Health. A rabbit cat was dropped off at the Yonkers Animal Hospital at 526 Sawmill River Road last Thursday, December 12. The cat was a black cat, less than a year old and had likely been struck by a vehicle. The cat died and later tested positive for rabies. The health department is seeking to identify and speak with the man and woman who dropped off the cat but did not leave their names or contact information. Health officials need to determine whether these individuals were exposed to the rabies virus, which is fatal if untreated. If you are one of these individuals or had any contact with the cat, please call the Westchester County Department of health immediately at 914-813-5000. This line is available 24. 7. Rabies is fatal, but it is 100% preventable with post exposure treatment. Again, if you or a family member had any contact with the cat, call the health department at 914-813-5000. To protect yourself from rabies, never feed, handle or approach wild or stray animals and keep your pet's rabies vaccinations up to date. To repeat this alert, press any key now.

Just last week, 8,271 people got Nomorobo protection!
Has reduced my bothersome calls by 90% Thanks Nomorobo!
— Dennis, Nov 29th, 9:21amGreat through this last election ad cycle...I still get a couple of survey calls that ring four times...
— John M, Nov 29th, 9:32amEven when an occasional robo call gets through, I really get satisfaction in reporting that number. Most times, however, after 1 ring these calls go away! I'm loving this...couldn't be more pleased!
— Edward G, Nov 29th, 9:33amOh my goodness! Those endless calls were driving me nuts! Time Warner Cable recommend I sign up at Nomorobo.com. Thanks!!
— Jan, Nov 29th, 9:50amGreat for those calls that it actually stops coming through; but, more and more have obviously figured out how to avoid "nomorobo".
— Alex M, Nov 29th, 10:22amLOVE it
— Betty F, Nov 29th, 12:10pmWorks very well!
— SuprDave62, Nov 29th, 2:39pmWe live in a Del Webb senior community. We used to get 10 to 20 calls a day for walk in tubs, solar panels, etc. every day. Nomorobo has been a Godsend. Wait after one ring it stops. With caller ID on our TVscreen, then we can see if it is worth answering by the area code if it keeps ringing. I have recommended it to everyone I know and they thank me.
